Home / Google Ads for dentists
Google Ads for dentists, run by seniors — measured to the pound.
Private treatment clicks are not cheap: £5 to £15 each is typical for implant and Invisalign searches. At those prices a loose account quietly spends hundreds a month on searchers who will never sit in your chair. We cut the waste and measure every pound back to a booked enquiry.
Retainers from £950/month · no contracts past month three
At £2,800 a month in clicks, a typical ~£35 lead buys about 80. Get the same 80 at £20 and roughly £1,200 a month comes free — more than the fee. Worked in full on the pricing page (LocaliQ 2026 framing).

At £10 a click, loose accounts get expensive fast
Most of what gets sold as dental marketing is a bundle of everything at once, with the numbers nowhere in sight. We do one thing: Google Ads, measured to the pound. And in dental accounts the money nearly always leaks through the same six holes:
- Broad match left to roam. Your budget bids on "NHS dentist taking new patients" and "emergency dentist NHS" while you sell private implant and Invisalign work.
- Job hunters and students. "Dental nurse jobs", "dentist salary", "how to become a hygienist" — real clicks, real money, zero patients.
- Searches you cannot serve. Loose location settings charge you full price for someone forty miles away, or for a treatment your practice does not offer.
- Product buyers. "Teeth whitening strips" and "clear aligners online" are people shopping for a kit, not booking a dentist — and they click all the same.
- Every click sent to the homepage. Someone who searched "dental implants cost" hunts for an implants page, gives up, and the bounce drags Quality Score down and your click price up.
- Calls nobody counts. New patients ring reception; if those calls are not tracked, the account optimises towards a trickle of form fills instead of the calls that fill chairs.

Do the maths at implant prices. A hundred wasted clicks at £10 is £1,000 gone, and an unpoliced broad-match campaign can get through a hundred wasted clicks in a fortnight. That is why the first thing we produce is the 12-Point Wasted-Spend Audit: your live account, read-only access, findings in writing within 48 hours.
Context: LocaliQ's 2026 cross-industry search averages put cost per lead near £50 at an 8.18% conversion rate. With high-value treatment clicks at £5–£15, a dental practice has less room for error than most advertisers.
What we run for dental practices
PPC for dental practices is not a different discipline. It is the same discipline with the tolerances tightened around a phone-first patient. Three things carry the account:
Treatment-level campaign structure
One campaign per treatment you actually want more of — implants, Invisalign, whitening, general new-patient work — with tight match types and negative keyword lists reviewed weekly. Budget is weighted towards your highest-value chair time, and you approve the treatment list before anything goes live.
A page per treatment
Someone searching "dental implants" lands on your implants page, not your homepage. One page per treatment beats one homepage for everything: message-matched pages lift conversion rates and Quality Score, which cuts what you pay for every click at exactly the prices where that matters.
Call tracking, wired to reception
In dentistry the phone does the work: reception answers everything, and form fills are the minority. Untracked, the account looks like it produces nothing and optimises blind. We track calls and form fills back to the keyword that produced them, so budget follows enquiries that become appointments.
Run by seniors, start to finish. Your account is handled by one of three senior marketers. No juniors, no hand-offs, no account manager between you and the person doing the work.
William Thomas · David Peters · Amalie LinesThree senior marketers. Every account is one of ours.
Expensive clicks deserve fast pages. A slow page wastes a £12 implant click as surely as a bad keyword does.
The numbers behind the method
One thing said plainly: these results come from automotive and industrial accounts, not dental practices. We publish what we can evidence, and only that. What transfers is the method — tight match types, ruthless search-term policing, one page per service, every call counted. The more a click costs, the more that discipline is worth.

Pricing for dental practices
From £950 a month on top of your media budget, and you can leave after month three. The fee buys senior hours on the account: weekly search-term reviews, a proper page for every treatment you advertise, and calls counted back to the keyword — the three things dental accounts most often go without.
From £950 /month for dental practices
- Treatment-level campaign structure, built or rebuilt
- Weekly search-term policing and negative keyword lists
- A landing page per treatment, message-matched to the ad
- Call and form tracking wired back to the keyword
- Written monthly reporting, measured to the pound
- No contracts past month three
Worked maths: £2,500 of media at £10 a click buys 250 clicks a month. If a quarter go to NHS-availability searches, job hunters and towns you do not serve, that is £625 burned — most of the retainer — before any conversion work has started.
And it compounds: every pound of waste removed is re-spent on searches that can become booked patients, month after month.
Not sure the account needs a retainer? Start with the audit. If your setup is already tight, we will say so in writing and you have lost nothing.
Questions dental practices ask us
Can you guarantee a number of new patient enquiries?
No, and be wary of anyone who will. Dentists are bound by the GDC's requirement that practice publicity is accurate and not misleading, and we hold our own claims to the same bar. What we do commit to: audit findings in writing within 48 hours, and monthly reporting that shows your cost per enquiry to the pound.
Which treatments are worth advertising?
Usually the high-value private work — implants, Invisalign, cosmetic treatments — because a £5–£15 click has to be paid back by the value of the appointment it produces. But you decide: we build one campaign per treatment you want more of, weight budget by chair-time value and capacity, and nothing goes live without your sign-off.
How does call tracking work with our reception?
Tracking numbers simply forward to your existing reception line, so nothing changes for your team or your patients. We measure that a call happened, which advert and keyword produced it, and how long it lasted — call recording is off by default and no patient details are stored in the ads account. This matters more in dentistry than almost anywhere, because reception answers nearly every new-patient enquiry.
Will our ads create compliance problems with the GDC?
Every ad is written down and sent for your approval before it runs. No outcome guarantees, no before-and-after claims your evidence does not support, no fee claims your website does not match. Your practice remains responsible for its own publicity, which is exactly why nothing runs without your written sign-off.
We are mostly NHS — is this still worth it?
It depends on where you want to go. Google Ads earns its keep when it fills private chair time, so a practice building its implant, Invisalign or private new-patient book is the right fit; a practice with no private capacity to fill is not. If you are somewhere in between, say so on the form and we will give you a straight answer in the audit.
We already run Google Ads. Is the audit still worth it?
That is the strongest case for it. The 12-Point Wasted-Spend Audit is built from your live account with read-only access, no call required, findings in writing within 48 hours. If the account is tight, we will tell you so. The findings are yours either way.
